Privacy Policy
Effective date: 6 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Curedoctor ("Curedoctor", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, shares and protects information when you use the Curedoctor mobile application, the Curedoctor eClinic service and this website (together, the "Services").
The Curedoctor app is for doctors. It lets registered medical practitioners ("Doctors", "you") join the Curedoctor network and consult patients who visit Curedoctor eClinics set up in partner medicine stores. This policy mainly describes how we handle Doctors' information. Section 4 explains how the information of patients who consult at an eClinic is handled.
By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1. Information we collect from doctors
Information you give us
- Account information: name, mobile number, email address, gender and profile photo.
- Professional information: qualifications, specialty, years of experience, medical registration number and registering council, clinic name and city, languages spoken, and your signature for prescriptions.
- Verification documents: copies of your registration certificate, degree certificates and identity proof that you upload so we can verify you.
- Availability: the days and times you mark yourself available and your online or offline status.
- Consultation records: the consultations you take, the notes you write and the prescriptions you issue through the app.
- Payout information: bank account or other payout details and tax information, where these are needed to pay your consultation fees.
- Support communications: messages and feedback you send to us.
Information collected automatically
- Device information: device model, operating system version, app version, language and unique device or app identifiers.
- Usage information: screens viewed, features used, and the date and time of use.
- Diagnostic information: crash logs and performance data that help us fix problems.
2. App permissions
The Curedoctor app asks for the following device permissions only when a feature needs them. You can refuse or withdraw a permission at any time in your device settings; the related feature may then not work.
| Permission | Why we need it |
|---|---|
| Camera | Video consultations with patients at an eClinic, and taking photos of your verification documents or profile picture. |
| Microphone | Audio during video and voice consultations. |
| Photos / files | Uploading your verification documents and profile photo, and saving prescriptions to your device. |
| Notifications | Alerting you to new patient requests, consultation updates and account messages. |
We do not record video or audio consultations unless we clearly tell the participants and obtain consent first.
3. How we use information
We use Doctors' information to:
- create and manage your account and verify your identity and medical registration;
- show your professional profile to patients and partner medicine stores;
- connect you with patients at eClinics and run consultations in the app;
- generate prescriptions that carry your name, qualification and registration number;
- calculate and pay consultation fees and keep related records;
- provide support and send service messages such as request alerts and security notices;
- maintain, analyse and improve the safety, quality and performance of the Services;
- detect and prevent fraud, misuse and security incidents;
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms & Conditions.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use health information for advertising.
4. Patient information
Patients do not need the Curedoctor app to consult at an eClinic. When a patient asks to see a doctor at a partner medicine store, the following information is collected through the eClinic software at the store and during the consultation:
- the patient's name, age, gender and mobile number;
- symptoms, medical history and other health details the patient shares with the Doctor;
- the Doctor's consultation notes and the prescription issued.
This information is used only to provide the consultation, issue the prescription, keep the medical record and meet legal requirements. It is shown to the Doctor who takes the consultation. Staff at the medicine store see only what is needed to register the patient and hand over the prescription.
Doctors receive patient information in the app solely to provide care. Doctors must keep it confidential and must not copy, store or use it outside the Services except as the law requires.
Patients can ask us for a copy of their information, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing [email protected].
5. How we share information
We share information only in these situations:
- Patients and partner medicine stores: your name, photo, qualification, specialty and registration number are shown to patients and eClinic medicine stores, and appear on the prescriptions you issue.
- Doctors: a patient's details are shared with the Doctor who takes the consultation.
- Service providers: trusted companies that help us run the Services, such as cloud hosting, video calling, payment and payout processing, SMS/notification delivery, analytics and crash reporting. They may use the information only to perform services for us and must keep it confidential.
- Legal requirements: when required by law, court order or a lawful request from a government or regulatory authority, including medical councils, or to protect the rights, safety or property of our users, the public or Curedoctor.
- Business transfers: if Curedoctor is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, information may be transferred, subject to this policy.
- With consent: in any other case, only when the person concerned asks us to or agrees to it.
6. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services. After you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must keep certain records longer — for example consultation records and prescriptions, payout and tax records, and records needed to resolve disputes — to comply with applicable laws.
7. Data security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information, including encryption of data in transit, access controls and restricted staff access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please keep your login details and one-time passwords confidential, do not let anyone else use your account, and tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised use.
8. Your rights and choices
Subject to the law that applies to you, you may:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- correct or update inaccurate information, in the app or by contacting us;
- request deletion of your account and personal information;
- withdraw consent you have given, including device permissions;
- opt out of promotional messages (service messages will still be sent);
- raise a concern or complaint about how your information is handled.
To exercise these rights, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
9. Account and data deletion
You can request deletion of your Curedoctor account and associated data at any time, from within the app or without it. Full steps, including what is deleted and what may be retained, are on our Delete Account page.
10. Children's privacy
The Curedoctor app is intended only for registered medical practitioners aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly allow children to create accounts. A child may be seen as a patient at an eClinic only when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, who provides the child's information and is present during the consultation.
11. Third-party services
The Services rely on third-party services such as video calling, cloud hosting and payment providers. Those services have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices. We encourage you to read their policies.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, including when new services such as a Curedoctor app for patients are introduced. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, notify you in the app. Your continued use of the Services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
